Gordy’s County Market was established by Gordy and Donna Schafer in 1966 on the south side of Chippewa Falls, WI. The Schafer Family wanted to offer a local grocery store to meet the specific needs of the people of the Chippewa Valley with fresh products, low prices, and friendly service.   

Over Forty years later, Gordy’s County Market now has nine locations. 
·         Gordy’s County Market remains the longest locally owned and operated grocery store in the Chippewa Valley.
 
·         The first Express Gas Station was built in 2007 at the Birch Street store location. 
 
·         Gordy's Express Gas Stations can be found at our Birch Street and Hamilton Avenue Eau Claire locations, as well as at Both Chippewa Falls locations and our Cornell location.  
 
·        Gordy’s County Market was the first to offer “Pump Perks Program” allowing customers to scan gas savings right at the pumps. Our easy to use program is as simple as “Shop, Save, & Redeem”!
